Early Career

Before Ivanti

Twenty-five years of building products, teams, and research practices across procurement, enterprise software, and some of the most trusted names in their fields. A few that shaped how I work:

DISH Digital — UX Designer, 2014
I joined the team building the next generation of over-the-top television, the work that became Sling TV. I contributed research and design alongside a talented team, and we delivered a product that won Best of Show at CES. Proof that deep research and fast execution are not opposites.

FamilySearch — Senior UX Designer, then UX Manager, 2011 to 2014
I helped redefine one of the largest genealogy platforms in the world, making it cleaner and simpler so patrons could bridge generations without fighting the interface. Design in service of something people care about deeply.

Gartner — Principal Research Analyst, 2010 to 2011
I advised on product and design strategy at the most influential research firm in technology. It sharpened how I connect design decisions to business outcomes.

Burton Group — Manager, Product Usability and Design, 2007 to 2010
As head of the design team, I led the research and features that simplified how clients found and consumed research. This is where the Dialogue Scheduling work lived, compressing a two-week process into 30 minutes.

Navitaire — Senior Engineer, Usability and Interface Design, 2006 to 2007
I designed key features for airline reservations, including a complex pricing and availability process. I also worked with the TGV team at SNCF in France, beginning the design to bring airline-style reservation systems to European rail. An early taste of designing across languages and cultures.

Primavera Systems — Product Manager and Senior Designer, through 2002
I led product for early web-based procurement and project management, at the dawn of what would later be called Web 2.0. The same category of enterprise procurement software I lead accessibility for today.
